This is a great little clip showing a tiny part of the madness that is the Salò market, Lake Garda, Italy. The market is held every Saturday in the carpark in Via Zane (very close to our apartment Il Brolo), from early in the morning until around midday or 1pm. Many stalls start packing up at 12. The food stalls are wonderful and there are some surprisingly good clothes and bags.

Golf Cà degli ulivi provides an amazing view of Lake Garda. Located 3km above Garda, you will stand

Borgo Alto

Borgo Alto, Serniga, is a spacious and well-equipped two bedroom apartment in a converted convent in the hills above Salò, Lake Garda. Located in the beautifully unspoilt hamlet of Serniga, the complex has stunning views of Lake Garda and a shared swimming pool, open during the summer months, from May 20th until 30th September.

The apartment is on the top (second) floor, and has a living room/kitchen/diner, double bedroom, twin bedroom, and shower room. There is a lake view from the living room windows, which are the original oval shape of the convent before the building was stored. The apartment has been beautifully finished, with good quality fixtures and fittings.

The kitchen has an electric hob and oven, fridge and plenty of cupboard space, and the dining table seats four people very comfortably.

The swimming pool is well-maintained and has space for sunbathing, with small communal garden.

There is private parking (gated) and a separate private storage area on the ground floor to keep sun loungers, pool toys etc in.

The town of Salò is a 10 – 15 minute drive down the hill. You definitely need a car for this property, although there is a public bus service that passes by the property as well. The village of San Michele is about 1km away. San Michele has a grocery store, and a few restaurants. The surrounding area is part of the “green belt” of the Parco Alto Garda Bresciana, and is totally unspoilt.

Borgo Alto provides lovely accommodation for those seeking a quiet, relaxing self-catering holiday on Lake Garda with beautiful views and use of a swimming pool, for up to four people.

Just call up gardaholidays.co.uk using Safari on your iPhone and you will automatically see an app-style site reformatted and optimized for the iPhone and BlackBerry. You can switch it off at any time and view the normal site if you want to.

Unfortunately due to the technicalities of the booking and payment system, it is not possible to make a booking or get a quote using the iPhone format, but you can easily browse the whole site, view photo galleries etc and navigate easily, and if you save to your home screen you can call it up at any time just like any other iPhone app.
