Web page does not do justice to the villa. Pictures out of date and much nicer with new bedroom and bathroom where garage was. Redecorated/furnished some rooms which are lovely. Pool has lots of room around which doesn't come across and whilst a little cool at first is great once in. Views of lake early evening are wonderful. Salo is a fabulous lake side town which i fell in love with (about 15 mins drive). Need a car as villa is 1.5m up in the hills from main road. BBQ, table tennis facilities well used. Great butchers at bottom of the hill and Canetto restuarant half way up the hill was great (home made food and fantastic service - English speaking). Definitely a feel of being in an Italien environment with few speaking english but this was part of the attraction. The property itself was grand, and the house fully appointed. It was strategically located close to quaint towns and rail stations. The views were sublime and defy eloquence. As seasoned travelers, we never take these things for granted, regardless of the amount of due diligence. The unexpected bonus proved to be the property management team, Roy and Mari-lyn Hutton. Roy and Mari-lyn were “Johnny on the spot” whenever their assistance was necessary. They volunteered recommendations, which ranged from the best places to shop for food, local towns to visit, restaurants and bars. Their insights proved both accurate and invaluable. They were an integral part of our trip’s success and when we parted we considered them friends. Recently, it was our good fortune to choose Villa Mezzane as our Lake Garda vacation
